The zinc-plated steel hitch pin, also known as a hairpin cotter pin or R-clip, is ideal for quick assembly. It is commonly used to hold clevis pins and shafts.
Zinc plating provides corrosion resistance. Steel substrate offers strength. Material is designated by a four-number SAE steel grade, which identifies the amount of primary material and carbon are present in the alloy.
Hitch pins, or hairpin cotter pins, resemble the letter “R” and are often used to secure shafts and pins quickly. The straight prong is pushed into a hole, while the other prong holds the shaft
